Alright, last one in the series. Dusk, this time. At least i hope it looks like it's Dusk - pictures with the lightsource behind the viewer are the fucking worst and with the winterweather outside, i can't really look at the sunset.
So anyway.. this will be the last giant picture for a while because a) i have not enough concrete ideas for another series right now and b) i really have to finish some other stuff first.
Step-by-step montage:
Night: Dawn: Noon:
[edit] Made it a bit darker and added some glare to the windows.
Print (with all 4 pictures) is over at redbubble: [link]
I think i knew you already, but i was brought here from the beautiful piano 1 hour improvisation [link] This picture totally fits right there, let me tell you how: It is relaxing and funny at the same time, its beautifulness and perfect amount of light is amazing, you blew my mind. Its lighting and ambientation, and the way you painted it give it a 3D amazing effect. I simply love it. But everything (doesn't matter how good it is) can always be improved, let me tell you how: The light it's kinda "only for winter", but i don't still know how you made it fit... whatever, the light can be improved in that point, though it already fits and i dunno how (BTW I did read the description. Also those clouds: With that 3D effect the clouds doesn't fit; the clouds would be perfect if it was 2D made, with no perspective or shadows. I think a version with no shadows would be better now that i focus (That last was only opinion).
the amount of detail is impressive, stye is really interesting as well. i think the lighting effects could improve a little bit, sometimes its hard to tell where the main light source is, and but still the way it is probably fits the style perfectly. I'm going to be completely honest and say composition is not strong enough, a more dynamic framing with a wider use of perspective could have been better, also the fountain lacks detail, texture and its base is cropped, keep in mind that when i say it lacks detail I'm comparing it with the rest of the picture and a central element like this one should have a strong focus and impact the viewer right away.
I saw this picture a long time ago, but then I lost it and thought I'd never see it again Then I found it on an ancient Equestria Daily post and followed links all the way to it again! We are REUNITED! I was so impressed by how pretty it was, and so many shadows I hope one day I can make art like this!
